While our weather is finely cooling down, we are warming up at Monkee's for Spring 2012. It's like Christmas all over again for us, as we anxiously await the daily arrivals from our UPS guy. Opening these boxes so full of life surely have brightened our store.
Here is our take on what's to come for this season in the world of fashion.
#1- Color Blocking
Need we say more? It's literally everywhere! You can find this season's biggest trend on a dress, a cute pair of shoes, or even a handbag.
#2- Futuristic Prints
This season is all about the print, from bold florals, to abstracts, and geometrics
#3- Pastels
After being absent from the fashion industry for several seasons, pastels have made a comeback. The #1 pick on the pastel palette, mint green!
#4- Neon Brights
The ultra bright colors of the 80's are back! Not only is this color trend visible on clothing, it's a huge trend with nail and lip colors Spring 2012. You can't go wrong with anything in hues of orange.
Other trends that can be seen on the Spring runway shows include maxis, hi-lo hemlines, and peplums. Maxis continue to be a strong contender in fashion, including casual cool dresses, skirts, and glamorous chiffon pieces. The lengths are longer, and many dresses feature the asymmetrical trend, with the front of the dresses being shorter than the back. What's your view on this trend, is it a yay or nay?
